Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Beat Kaegi is a graduated merchant in economics and with over 30 years of experience, a competent travel & tourism expert. His career in tourism took off with a commercial apprenticeship at the Hotelplan group Switzerland in Zurich. Beat then worked in tour operating with Imholz Reisen (TUI Switzerland) before taking manager tasks in Travelhouse (Hotelplan group), a consortium of specialist tour operators.
In 2004 Beat moved from Zurich to Scotland and worked in international marketing for Visit Scotland, the national tourist board in Edinburgh, before taking key roles in business development (FIT & groups) with the DMC's Jac Travel and Abbey Tours Scotland.
Beat is now self-employed in Travel Contact Tourism Consultancy, lives in Edinburgh and is fluent in English, German and French.
